About the Service

RecipeBase is a service for saving, organizing, and cooking recipes, planning your household’s weekly meals together, and keeping track of shopping lists and pantry stock.

Recipes you import or extract from other websites ("scraped" recipes) are private by default and belong to you — they are not shown publicly unless you choose to share or publish them.

If you believe a recipe on RecipeBase infringes your copyright, you can request its removal at /takedown.

Accounts and the Beta Period

RecipeBase is currently in a beta period and is free to use during this time.

The service is provided "as is" without guarantees about uptime, performance, or that any specific feature will remain available.

During the beta, data may occasionally be reset or cleared — for example around major technical changes. We will notify you in advance whenever this is planned.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details and for keeping your password confidential.

Your Content

You own everything you add to RecipeBase — recipes, images, notes, ratings, and anything else you create or upload.

By adding content, you grant RecipeBase a non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display that content to the extent needed to operate the service (for example, showing your recipe back to you, your household, or the people you choose to share it with).

If you choose to make a recipe public or share it, you are responsible for making sure you have the right to publish it and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.

Acceptable Use

You may use RecipeBase for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.

You may not misuse the service — for example by uploading content you have no right to share, interfering with the service’s operation, or attempting to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts or data.

Intellectual Property

RecipeBase and the service’s design, features, and branding are owned by Abla AB and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or are using the service in a way that harms other users or the service itself.

You can close your own account at any time from account settings ("Data & Privacy"), which deletes your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer of Warranties

RecipeBase is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee the service will be error-free, secure, or always available.

Recipe content, nutritional information, and similar data may contain mistakes — use your judgment, especially around allergies or special diets.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Abla AB is not liable for indirect damages, lost data, or consequential losses arising from your use of the service.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Swedish law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be settled by the Swedish courts, with Sweden as the competent venue.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you in the service or by email of material changes. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
