All your recipes, in one place.

Magazine cuttings, handwritten notes, blogs and reels become clean recipes in your own units – ready to cook, share with friends and plan the week around.

Save recipes wherever you find them

What used to live in folders, kitchen drawers and screenshots ends up in one place. Every imported recipe shows where it came from.

  • Photo — snap a magazine cutting, a cookbook page or a handwritten note. Several pages are fine.
  • Link — paste the address of a blog or recipe site. The life story is stripped away and the recipe stays.
  • Instagram and TikTok — paste the link or the caption under a clip. The recipe is read from the caption, not from the video itself.
  • Text — paste a recipe from an email, a text message or a document.
  • Type it in — for the recipes that only exist in your head.

Your collection, in your units

Every recipe gets the same clean shape: ingredients, clear steps and the amount written into each step. Change the number of servings and both the list and the steps scale.

  • Grams for everything — flour, butter, milk and spices in grams if that's how you measure. Or dl and spoons, or cups – your choice.
  • Amounts in the steps — no scrolling back up to the ingredient list halfway through cooking.
  • My version — swap, cut and rewrite. The original stays alongside, and you choose which one you read.

Share with friends

Add friends and share recipes with them, or send a link to a single recipe. Everything you save is private until you choose to share it.

  • Make it yours — save a friend's recipe and make your own version. Their original stays as it is.
  • Always the latest version — when you improve a recipe, your friends see the change straight away.

Cook step by step

One step at a time in large type, with the amounts in every step and a timer wherever the recipe gives a time. Prop the phone or tablet on the worktop and cook.

And then: plan the week

Once your recipes are in one place, the rest is easy. Pick the week's dinners from your collection, get a shopping list and let the family say what they thought.

  • This week's menu — pick dinners for the week and set the servings for how many are eating.
  • Shopping list — one list from the week's dinners, grouped by aisle, where you tick off what you already have at home.
  • Family verdict — favourite, OK or never again, so you know what goes back on the menu.
  • Household — add who eats, with their allergies, likes and dislikes, so they're there when you choose.

How the beta works

RecipeBase is an invite-only beta for home cooks in the Nordics. Request an invitation, or join the waitlist, and we will get in touch when there is room. The beta is free.

Here is what you can do today: save recipes from a link, the caption of an Instagram or TikTok clip, pasted text or photos of cuttings and handwritten notes, or type them in yourself. You choose whether amounts show in grams or other units, make your own version of a recipe, share with friends and cook one step at a time. On top of that you can add the people in your household with their allergies, likes and dislikes, choose the week's dinners and make a shopping list.

The allergy check is a guide, not a guarantee, so always read the recipe and the packaging. The beta is still being built and things may change. Please tell us what works and what does not.

RecipeBase is available in Swedish, English and Norwegian. Recipes you save are private to you until you decide otherwise, and there is also a collection of public recipes to start from.
